MARY JEANNETTE FOE, 88, a lifetime Dryden area resident, died Friday, February 2, 2018.

She was born December 23, 1929, in Thornville, to Merle and Cecil (Gaylor) McKay.

July 3, 1953 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Dryden. She attended County Normal in Caro and taught school at Gardner “one-room” School for several years. Mrs. Foe enjoyed riding around the farm on her golf cart, with her dogs, also cross-stitching and reading.

Mary is survived by her sons, Jack (Jernice) Foe of Dryden, Ronald Foe of Dryden and Wayne (Renee Mersino) Foe of Dryden; grandchildren, Robert Miller of Lapeer, Mark (Heather) Miller of Grand Blanc, Tricia (Jim) Gray of Burton, Tara (John) Omans of Mayville, Nichole (Phil) DeTolve of California and Amber Kish of Dryden; several great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, June Foe of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Foe; parents, Merle and Cecil McKay; and sister, Sally Haynes.

A memorial gathering was held Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. No formal service will take place. In accordance with Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial of her cremains will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dryden. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.MuirBrothersLapeer.com.
